Somebody asked for both. So both were on board, at altitude, somewhere over the Free State — alongside roses and a basket of snacks from a garage shop that somebody had clearly been asked to find.
It is a small thing and it is rather the point. The catering, the transfer that is genuinely waiting, the pilot who knows your name: these are not upgrades. They are what an operations desk is for.
